During the High Holy Days, we recite the Piyyut Ki Hineh KaChomer—"For we are like clay in the hand of the potter"— inviting reflection on vulnerability, transformation, and Divine partnership. In this interactive workshop, 20 participants will explore the meaning of this piyyut through a 2 hour hands-on pottery class, experiencing the tension between surrender and agency as we shape and reshape clay. We’ll study the piyyut together over drink and nosh, and then make ceramic honey bowls for the following year’s High Holy Days.
