L.A. PARTNERS
NuRoots belongs to a universe of community partners, all striving to imagine and reimagine young adult Jewish life. Each year we invite visionary grassroots orgs to apply for funding to create a huge range of experiences — this year, we’re leaning into inclusivity, belonging, and joy.
AT THE WELL
Guided by the Hebrew calendar and based on the new moon rituals of Rosh Chodesh, At The Well connects women and nonbinary folks around the world through transformative practices inspired by ancient Jewish wisdom.
This year, At The Well brings an immersive daylong retreat to L.A. — a space for collective care and engagement — and guests are invited to attend four additional events to continue learning and connecting with one another.

“At The Well is showing our community how spirituality is wellness, and an avenue through which we can find true embodiment.”
JEWTINA Y CO.
Founded in 2019 in Los Angeles, Jewtina celebrates Latin Jewish heritage and multiculturalism, working to nurture community, identity, resiliency, and leadership. Its Rootas series of immersive travel experiences connects our vibrant L.A. community with the diverse communities and rich histories of Latin America, bringing together intimate groups of travelers to learn, explore, and connect with Latin culture, perspectives, and peoplehood.
Jewtina's new young adult film festival links Los Angeles and deep, multifaceted narratives of Jewish life in Latin America through the art of cinema. Over two months, the festival features an eclectic selection of films across L.A., each chosen to illuminate the varied experiences and cultural heritage of Latin American Jewish young adults.

“Transformative. Prior to the trip I knew very little about Latin Jewish history, and in the end I came away with such a stronger sense of my identity.”
JQ
L.A.'s leading LGBTQ+ Jewish org, JQ has created transformative programming since 2004, including a Jewish queer straight alliance for teens, the lifegiving JQ Helpline, and the world's first Persian Pride summit.
JQ's gatherings for queer Jewish young adults are a cornerstone of their legacy of inclusivity and access to resources and community. This year, they’re growing their programming to create Shabbats for queer Jews of color and across the gender spectrum, including Shebrew Shabbats, Got Guys?, and TimTum, an ancient Jewish word for gender expansiveness.
