OUR CITYWIDE PASSOVER FESTIVAL
In 2016 NuRoots imagined Passover as a weeklong East Hollywood popup, bringing together artists, performers, and young adults from everywhere in L.A., making something personal, local, transformative, new. Collective Escape became a tradition: a week of experiences with beloved partners and friends, reborn each season, year after year.

OUR CITYWIDE HIGH HOLIDAYS FESTIVAL
Our newest festival! Sweet Return launched in fall 2024 with twelve days of awesome (a Persian Rosh Hashanah seder and feast, a brunch for recent college grads, and Shabbat dinners all over L.A.) and came back in 2025 with Nu Wave, a reimagined Jewish water ritual, and an L.A. mosaic of beloved partners and friends.

OUR CITYWIDE HANUKKAH FESTIVAL
In 2015 the NuRoots team imagined the first citywide celebration of Hanukkah — a weeklong festival of experiences reimagining the holiday, in every corner of L.A., made by and for Angelenos in our 20s and 30s.
This December, join us and beloved partners for our eleventh Infinite Light. A meeting ground for creativity and celebration. A moment for expression and reinvention. A movement of stories, rhythms, transformations. Hanukkah is the season of illumination, the light in ourselves and in each other. Where is it in your life right now? Where is it hiding, waiting to shine?
