Our citywide Passover festival. From the very start of the Collective Escape story in 2016, it was all about freedom, boldness, emotions, and stories. The result is a citywide Passover festival with an extremely strong signature – transforming traditions, making them say something new.
The human instinct to gather in community when history shifts, even if we don’t yet know how the story will unfold. A rare opening, however uncertain, a glimpse of possibility.

Mimouna is a joyful Moroccan tradition closing Passover, a night where restriction gives way to abundance, sweetness, and openness. Rooted in Mizrahi culture, it begins at nightfall on the last day, when homes fill with guests, tables overflow, and communities gather to celebrate renewal, blessing, and possibility.
A ritual of returning – to bread, to music, to one another – Mimouna is historically a moment of deep trust and interconnection. Neighbors gathering with symbols of prosperity, goodwill, and protection. Blessings for abundance, fertility, good fortune.
At the heart of Mimouna is the belief that after liberation comes flourishing. From liberation to celebration, survival to sweetness, scarcity to abundance, Mimouna reminds us that freedom is not complete until it’s lived.
For one vibrant evening, the NuRoots team, along with a host committee with deep Moroccan roots, invites you a transportive gathering of live music, dancing, food, ritual, community.
Expect a night filled with color and rhythm as we welcome spring and reopen the flow of life. Our love is Mimouna.

For Collective Escape, NuRoots and OneTable are providing Superhosts twice the normal amount for your Passover seder – up to $200 for private gatherings (private, host-approved guests, or public) and up to $600 for public dinners (after applying for Nourishment+).
