Pride ‘23. We’re building a culture where everybody belongs. In June and all year long.

“We’re taking this opportunity to recognize and cherish every moment, beautiful and challenging. Our very existence as queer folks and allies is an act of courageous authenticity and a gift not to be taken for granted.”

“I feel really, really grateful to have all of these identities. I feel like a badass.”

“Finding people like me was amazing. It showed me that I could be my whole self as a Jew in a queer space and a queer person in a Jewish space.”

Resources + support

Whether you're Jewish or not, part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or an ally, JQ's helpline is here for you — from mental health counseling and legal aid to food insecurity and job assistance.

JQ's resource manual is full of organizations, services, and info addressing a wide range of needs with loving + affirming care.

The CA vs. Hate network is a non-emergency, multilingual hotline for reporting hate crimes. Anonymous reports can be made by calling
833.866.4283 (weekdays 9 am–6 pm) or online at any time.

The Ezra Network offers free, one-on-one advising with a professional, and our community resource guide is a self-help directory of every kind of resource — mental health, financial assistance, tenant rights, and more.

The future of queer Jewish L.A.

Make your queer voice heard! In partnership with the UCLA Center for Research Evaluation Standards and Student Testing (CRESST), we're looking to interview locals 22–30 who identify as LGBTQIA+ to gather feedback and insights on how the Jewish community can best serve LGBTQIA+ and queer young adults.

If you or someone you know is open to a 30–40 minute interview — and to receiving $50 after meeting in person or virtually — email Julia Phelan at phelan@cresst.org.
